My inspiration behind the mushroom goblets, and most of my work, lies in my fascination with the natural world. These pieces play on the regality and refinement typically associated with goblets in juxtaposition with the organic, dirty, irregularity associated with mushrooms. The semi-functional, semi-sculptural nature of these goblets creates a connection with the user by simulating an intentional, somewhat uncomfortable, textural experience.
